35 New Nursing Spaces at Kwantlen Polytechnic University

SURREY – Kwantlen Polytechnic University received $425,000 in one-time funding to add 35 seats to its internationally educated graduate nurse re-entry program to help prepare internationally educated nurses to work as registered nurses in British Columbia.

  • This program assists internationally educated nurses meet the eligibility requirements to write the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination and meet professional practice standards.
  • The additional seats will help meet current and projected demand for registered nurses throughout the province.

  • This funding is part of the provincial government’s almost $1.5 million in one-time funding to support the expanded delivery of nine health care programs at six colleges and universities across the province.
  • One-time funding to improve access to health education programs helps to meet current and projected employment needs in the health care field throughout the province.
