Learning Together Workbooks Prepare Children for Kindergarten
The first of day of kindergarten can be a source of apprehension and stress for children and more so for parents. To help prepare families Surrey Libraries has released its Learning Together workbooks in a variety of languages to assist parents prepare young children for Kindergarten and promote literacy. The workbook includes many activities relating to a successful start to Kindergarten and lists of books that parents and children can borrow from the library to read together.
In consideration of our community's diverse cultural background, the workbooks are available in English, in English and Punjabi, English and Somali, English and Spanish, English and Arabic, English and Chinese or English and Korean.

I am really excited about this program as I strongly believe introducing children to the magic and wonder of books at an early age is everyone's responsibility. Reading with your children is not only a great family activity it encourages kids to be good readers and promotes a love books for a life time.
